tSepiso
Service marketplace app for Android and iOS, with a web admin console.
The problem
Local service providers — plumbers, electricians, cleaners — had no way to be found except word of mouth, and customers had no way to check whether anyone was any good. Both sides were relying on WhatsApp groups and luck.
What we built
A two-sided marketplace. Providers apply, upload their documents and get approved before they appear. Customers browse by category and area, book directly, and rate the job afterwards. Payment is held until the work is marked complete by both sides.
The hard part
Trust, not technology. A marketplace fails the first time somebody gets scammed, so the approval flow, the held payment and the dispute process mattered more than any feature on the booking screen. The admin console exists mainly to let a human step in quickly when something goes wrong.
What it runs on
One Flutter codebase serving both the customer and provider apps on Android and iOS, a Laravel API, and a web console for approvals and disputes. Built data-light so it stays usable on expensive mobile networks.
